Great Books & Resources
Below is a look at some books and other resources that are highly recommended.

Experiencing God
This Bible study has been around for what seems like my entire adult life. I first enjoyed this in 1997.

The subtitle says a lot about what to expect: knowing and doing the will of God. It is fundamentally sound and still easy for almost anybody to complete

Thompson Chain Reference Study Bible

The follower of Christ is best educated in the Bible when he is able to see how all the parts of it work together. Truly the Scriptures are an amazing work of the Lord! What makes this Bible stand out is, of course, the Thompson Chain Reference System. It'll help you to learn key concepts and characters in the Bible better than ever!

The Mind of Christ (T. W. Hunt)

This book explores every prayer of Jesus. As the book tells, "[Y]ou will understand how God works within you and transforms you, continually renewing and reshaping your mind to reflect more closely his own."

To be more and more like Christ is our goal. This book specifically takes you there.

The Pursuit of God

This book, like perhaps no other beside the Bible, compels me to learn more about God. A. W. Tozer describes what a real walk after the living God is like. I challenge you to read this! You won't regret it.

Let The Nations Be Glad

John Piper wrote an epic book about missions. But make no mistake, it's really about the supremacy of God! He is the reason that missions are essential. Piper exhorts us that the Church must engage the world in evangelization. This book will thrill your soul and show you why you'll want to see the entire world transformed by the Gospel.

Brothers, We Are Not Professionals

Pipers' plea is, "We pastors are being killed by the professionalizing of the pastoral ministry. The mentality of the professional is not the mentality of the prophet. It is not the mentality of the slave of Christ. Professionalism has nothing to do with the essence and heart of the Christian ministry. The more professional we long to be, the more spiritual death we will leave in our wake. For there is no professional childlikeness, there is no professional tenderheartedness, there is no professional panting after God."

Letters & Papers From Prison

What would you think about if you knew that you were almost certain to face a firing squad? Bonhoeffer was a pastor and theologian who also had a knack for sharing candid reflections from his prison. He would eventually be executed by the Nazi's, but not before compiling these documents that show a depth of searching for God and wanting to know his family.

The Case For Christ

Lee Strobel made a living by asking relevant questions. He also was an atheist. But once he set out to prove that Jesus was anything but God, everything changed. Along the way, he consulted subject matter experts in order to validate his evidence. His problem was, the evidence all pointed to Jesus truly being exactly who He said that He was (and is).

Kingdom Agenda

This is Tony Evans' ultimate work. And it's real good too! Evans turned this into an epic resource for you and me to find anything about what God's plans are for us and Creation. It's one of my top five favorite resources (even if I do have more than 5 "top five" resources).

Radical

Don't read this book unless you are prepared to be challenged! David Platt is plainly going to show you why being a luke warm Christian is not an option for any follower of Jesus Christ. Just read it and find out why.

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus

If you want a compelling reason why a faithful Muslim was challenged to follow Jesus, this book is for you. Qureshi was a faithful Muslim and faithful to his family and culture. But once he found out the truth about Jesus, everything changed. Qureshi writes a compelling story that challenges Muslims and Christians alike to know what you believe and the. align your life accordingly.
