Shahdol, India Clinic
Scott and Dawn travelled to Shahdol, India, along with friends from New Mexico. We joined a team there to bring medical, dental, and vision care to almost 600 people. Most of them were children. The video above shows what our clinic looked like on the first of two days. Oh, this was a very good day!

The Taj Majal is resplendent in every way. After all, it's one of the manmade wonders of the world. This was one of our first stops and I'm glad we stopped here. But it took no time at all for the faces of India to jump to the forefront.
The Shri Ram Hospital in Shahdol was the site of the first of two days of our clinic. Our wonderful hosts had also created a wonderful banner highlighting our team. Yeah, we were made very at-home with the incredible hospitality. But this also got the word around town that a special event was going to occur.

We were part of a truly great team. Our new family in Shahdol was more than hospitable. They were all organized, motivated, and focused on all the details.
Our special friend, Sweety, who we met in the Republic of Georgia, was able to join us. She and her fiancé came back home to help. They were such a great blessing!

Dawn was, as usual, terrific at providing direction and following up on vision screen clients who might need more assistance.
Scott enjoys meeting the "clients" of our clinics, whether they are old or young. The personal connections are very important. It's more than glasses or dental care. It's love.

Day two of our clinic was at a local boarding school where over 340 students reside. They are disadvantaged, but very fortunate to be at a school like this. In the world's eyes, they have a future. This photo includes our team, the staff of the school, and just a sampling of those kids!

As much as we loved upon them, they somehow treated us like we were heroes. God bless all of them. I want to go back, if only to talk with every last one of them again.

This event was actually organized by members of the local Rotary Club. We are grateful for their support in making this possible.

Another view of our terrific team. I strongly believe that God put this team together, even people of different faith, in order to accomplish great things. We were able to share some great things and start or continue relationships that will open doors for witness and ministry.

The Shahdol boarding school was fill with children!
Just take a moment and look at those faces.
After gathering for assembly to greet us and celebrate the day, they performed amazing music and dance collections. This was so impressive!

More faces from the Shahdol clinic!
